LILI, AS A SPORT JUDGE
Lili was a fantastic judge in our sport scholar activities. She gave some medals to our children in activities such as racing and swimming. Here, we have some pictures of it.
LiLi ha cargado su móvil con la energía geotérmica. Esta energía se encuentra en el interior de la tierra en forma de calor.
El volcán está formado por un cráter, desde donde sale el magma a través de una chimenea.
La energía geotérmica se usa en balnearios, calefacción y agua caliente, electricidad, extracción de minerales.
Los alumnos del tercer ciclo, trabajaron la energía geotérmica. Vieron un video sobre ésta, lo estudiaron en el área de conocimiento del medio y realizaron una maqueta de un volcán.
Fabricación de la maqueta y explicación del experimento:
La maqueta se realizó con una botella de plástico, con unas tiras de papel y con cola, para pegar estas tiras a la botella. Después se pintó y se le volvió a dar cola. El experimento se realizó con la mezcla de: bicarbonato, colorante, jabón y vinagre, creando todo esto junto una reacción química que hizo desbordar una espuma anaranjada por la ladera del cráter.
LiLI has charged her mobile phone with geothermal power. This kind of energy is founded inside the Earth into a heat form.
The volcano is formed by a crater. Trough this crater the magma goes out trough a chimney.
Geothermal power is used in spas, central heating, hot water, electricity and mining.
Third cycle students worked in geothermal power. They watched a video about it, then they studied it in Science subject and finally they made a volcano model.
Manufacture of the model and explanation of the experiment:
The model was made with a plastic bottle, a few sheets of papers and glue (to stick these papers to the bottle). After doing this the model was painted and covered with glue again. The experiment was made with a mixture of bicarbonate, coloring, soap and vinegar. All this ingredients together can make a chemistry reaction, creating an orange foam that come from the volcano base to the outside through the crater.
