I had a lovely time in Poland before Christmas. I took part in all preparations at school, decorating Christmas trees in classes. I even went with some children to the factory of Christmas tree decorartions. I  also watched the Nativity Performance prepared by children from different classes. 

It was so nice as the children were also showing how the Christmas looks like in different Comenius countries and they also said  merry Christmas in Dutch .

Christmas Eve I spent at home sharing the special wafer with the family and trying different dishes served on that day in Poland. They do not have meat on that day : so different  fish, mushrooms, sauerkraut, beetroot. And a compot made of dried fruit for dessert. At midnight a lot of people go to church , but I stayed home as the weather was very bad and  I was very sleepy.

Boże Narodzenie w Polsce spędziłam przygotowując wraz z dziećmi  ich klasowe choinki.Zwiedziłam też z dziećmi fabrykę bombek. Obejrzałam przygotowane przedstawienie - Jasełka. Było bardzo miło, gdyż dzieci opowiadały również o zwyczajach  świątecznych w krajach projektu, a także składały życzenia po holendersku.   Wigilię Bożego Narodzenia spędziłam w domu z rodziną , dzieląc się opłatkiem i jedząc typowe wigilijne potrawy . Nie jada się tu mięsa tego dnia , więc dania są rybne, grzybowe, z kiszoną kapustą i kompotem z suszonych owoców na deser.
