I was in Bulgaria during the last days of school before the long summer holidays. The children who took care of me were the three classes of second graders who take the most active part in the project. The older children were very busy taking their final exams.

With the summer vacation coming soon and the gorgeous weather my Bulgarian friends were relaxed and happy and we mostly enjoyed ourselves and played together.

I attended a great end-of-the-year party which was actually a Comenius Partner Countries Day. The children presented all the partner countries with visual materials on the walls, pictures, information about the countries’ anthems, national symbols, geography features, major cities and landmarks, traditions etc. They performed traditional dances and songs from the partner countries. There were quizzes with a lot of prizes and even a culinary show with traditional dishes! It was a great fun!
