Giacomo in Austria

I was very happy when I arrived in Austria! The children showed me their school and made  me feel at home. First I looked at the EDV-room and I saw a picture of me in the computer.

 I was very proud. Then I got to know the family of Sisi, they all are very nice.

In the kitchen we baked gingerbread-men, they tasted fine!

One day the 1a began to make „Adventkränze“  and  I watched them and they put me in the middle of all the coronals made of fir-tree-twigs. The Austrian need it to count the Sundays until Christmas. Every Sunday they  light a candle.

Ich war sehr glücklich, als ich in Österreich angekommen bin. Die Kinder führten mich durch  ihre Schule und zeigten mir den EDV-Raum. Ich sah ein Bild von mir am Computer und war sehr stolz. Dann lernte ich die Familie von Sisi kennen, sie ist sehr nett.

In der Küche backten wir Lebkuchen-Männer, sie schmeckten lecker!

Eines Tages bastelte die 1a Adventkränze und ich durfte zusehen. Die Österreicher zünden jeden Sonntag eine Kerze des Adventkranzes an, bis Weihnachten ist.

Giacomo has to recharge his mobile

The students of 3a helped me to recharge my mobile. They use a lemon and two metal-sticks made of plum or copper to make a battery which can produce electricity. The two sticks were put into the lemon and the lemon-acid gets electrons out of the metal. The electrons move very fast and produce electricity. Now my mobile is recharged again.

Die Schüler der 3a halfen mir mein Handy aufzuladen.  Sie nahmen eine Zitrone und zwei Metallstäbchen aus Blei oder Kupfer um eine Batterie zu erzeugen.

Die Stäbchen wurden in die Zitrone gesteckt und die Zitronensäure löst Elektronen aus einem Metall heraus. Diese bewegen sich sehr schnell und erzeugen daher Strom. Damit konnte ich mein Handy aufladen.
