AUSTRIA

Hi, friends, I am Sisi and here you see the first model  to reload my mobile. It's a "solar-bag" with solar-cells on it. When I go  walking and the sun is shining it can produce electricity and I can phone again.

Now I can start my journey through Europe.

Hi, I'm Giacomo and I had to reload my phone in Austria. The students helped me to produce electricity with a lemon-battery (you also can take oranges).  I am very happy that I am able to phone my family in Italy.

Hi, I'm Xanthipi!   In the New Year’s night I wanted to call home but my phone didn’t work anymore. Then the Austrian children helped me to reload it. They took metal sticks and put them into potatoes. The liquid produces electricity and I was able to reload my phone.

I was very happy that I could call my family in Greece and wished them    A  HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!

Hi, I'm Jio and I do sports with the Austrian students. They helped me to reload my mobile with the home-trainer. The moving produced electricity with a dynamo (generator) and my mobile worked again. Then I could talk to my family in Bulgaria and tell them that I'm fine!

Grzes and Eliska reload their mobiles with the power of wind. The students of 4a built a wheel made out of wood to produce electricity for the mobiles. Now the puppets can talk to their families at home.

Lisa spent the Easter holidays in Austria and she couldn't tell her familiy about the Easter customs here. When Lisa visited the first class they studied a dance. To help her to reload her mobile they put a special  aluminium-foil on the sole of their Crocs. When they were dancing the chip in the foil was loading and then they put the shoe on a cold sheet. The difference of the temperature produces electricity and reloaded Lisa's mobile. Then she called her family and wished them   HAPPY EASTER!

One day the students had the idea to produce electricity with the enerty of a vulcano. They baked a vulcano-cake and  also a vulcano built out of clay. The first on was eaten and the second one reloaded the mobile of Maria.

HOW CAN WE CHANGE MOVEMENT INTO ELECTRICITY?

Two classes, 4a and 4d produced an electrical motor which can change movement into electricity for example with a handle. This motor will help us to reload the mobiles of our guest-puppets with different ways of moving.
