Vor Weihnachten rief ich meine Familie an, um ihnen Frohe Weihnachten zu wünschen. In der Neujahrsnacht wollte ich wieder zu Hause anrufen, aber mein Handy funktionierte nicht mehr. Ich war sehr enttäuscht, weil ich warten musste, bis die Ferien zu Ende waren. Erst dann halfen mir die SchülerInnen der 3. Klassen, mein Telefon aufzuladen. Sie steckten 2 Metallstreifen in Kartoffeln. Ihre Flüssigkeit kann Elektrizität erzeugen und ich konnte mein Handy aufladen.

Before Christmas Eve I called my family to wish them Merry Christmas.

In the New Year’s night I also wanted to call them but my phone didn’t work anymore. I was very disappointed because I had to wait for the end of the Austrian holidays. Then the students of the 3rd form helped me to reload my phone. They took metal sticks and put them into potatoes. The liquid produces electricity and I was able to reload my phone.
