EXPERIMENT 1

In this experiment the water in the box symbolises a river. When the motor is turned on it moves the water wheel. When the water wheel is moving the water of the river gets lifted up into a canal and moved along the canal. In ancient times, horses and donkeys made the water wheel move by walking around in circles while they were attaching to the water wheel.

EXPERIMENT 2

For this experiment we have used a plastic water bottle, a candle, a small pipe and a container full of water. The container and the bottle symbolise the sea water and a boat. We fill the pipe with water and put it on the boat (a half plastic water bottle). Then, we put a candle under the pipe. When the water inside the pipe heats up the boat is moved along the sea.

EXPERIMENT 3

The water from the tap falls down onto the spoons of the water wheel and it turns. This movement plays music because of a music box connected to the wheel.

EXPERIMENT 4

Homemade wind turbine – renewable energy experiment

We need:

1 Ventilator of PC

1 Small Area L.E.D.

1 Dryer

The process is very simple. We need a small area LED, a ventilator of PC and a dryer. The area LED connects to the plug that already comes with the ventilators, and then the wind of the dryer is applied to the ventilador of PC. The area LED will ignite.

The ventilator will do the function of wind turbine and the hairdryer will be the subtitute of the natural wind. The bulb LED will work if everything joins well.
