Experiments with renewable energies

Our 5th and 6th students work in a construction project of little cars moved by photovoltaic energy.

The cars will be constructed with reused very light materials, incorporating two photovoltaic solar panels.

Photovoltaic solar panels producing electrical power to some students projects.

Use old printer cable to make electrical installations in cars, and other stuff like that.

Students construct little wind turbines, toys that move with wind energy.

Model representing two renewable energy sources; wind turbines using wind energy; and photovoltaic solar panels using solar energy.
INTRODUCTION
You can get electricity from a potatoe. Yes, not only the ordinary batteries that can generate energy.
And most interesting is that in the absence of potatoes, you can use lemons, oranges or even aples!
In this experiment we present the construction of a cell. The aim is to verify the conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy using raw
materials available, clean and not polluting the environment.

Mining exploration/ withchocolate chipcakes(experiment)
Exploração mineira com bolos com pedaços de chocolate (experiência)
General results:
Which of the cakes was easier to mine and why? (some opinions)
- Cake A because it has larger pieces.
- Cake A because it has more “coal”.
- Cake A because it has a softer "land", easier to remove.
- Cake B because it has the "coal" on the surface.
What is the reconstruction (soil)? And why is it important? (Some opinions)
Soil reconstraction is to rebuild the land, land back to normal. To preserve nature,
habitats, and ecosystems.
It is to rebuild in order to preserve the landscape, otherwise we harm the
environment and we will not have beautiful places to visit.
Write two ways coal is used nowadays (opinions)
We can light the fireplace to warm up oursevelves in winter. For cooking, for example, to roast chestnuts,
fish and meat. Can be used ontrains, or coal pencils. We use it in pots for plants and in groves.
In the past people used coal as raw material for machines.
