LISA IN GREECE
RECHARGES HER MOBILE PHONE USING
KINETIC ENERGY GENERATED BY SEA WAVES
I needed
A piece of thick cardboard
Blue and white plasticine
A rectangular box
2 straws
String
What I did
On the thick cardboard I created the sea waves using the plasticine.
Next to the waves I put the box which stands for a breakwater.
Underneath there are turbines and generators which transform the kinetic energy of the waves to electric energy.
It is transferred through the string which stands for cables to an electric plant (straws).
From there I obtained the electric energy needed to recharge my mobile phone.
The above experiment was inspired by the observation of surfers
who move with great speed taken from the strength of the sea waves
