HOLLY IN AUSTRIA

In Austria the students sew a new dress for me, a "Dirndl" (= typical for Austria) and they styled my hair. I hope my family at home will recognize me!!!

I wanted to call and tell them about my new look but my mobile didn't work.

The students of 3d helped me to recharge my mobile. They used an orange and two metal-sticks made of plum or copper to make a battery which can produce electricity. The two sticks were put into the orange and the orange-acid gets electrons out of the metal. The electrons move very fast and produce electricity. Now my mobile is recharged again.

 Die Schüler der 3d halfen mir mein Handy aufzuladen.  Sie nahmen eine Orange  und zwei Metallstäbchen aus Blei oder Kupfer, um eine Batterie zu erzeugen. Die Stäbchen wurden in die Orange gesteckt und die Orangensäure löst Elektronen aus einem Metall heraus. Diese bewegen sich sehr schnell und erzeugen daher Strom. Damit konnte ich mein Handy aufladen.

Die österreichischen Kinder nähten ein Dirndl für mich, das ist eine österreichische Tracht. Außerdem bekam ich eine neue Frisur. Ich hoffe, dass mich meine Familie wieder erkennt! Mir gefällt es.
