SPORT-UND INFORMATIKHAUPTSCHULE TRAISKIRCHEN

Our school is represented by two houses. There are about 350 students from 10 to 14 years and 40 teachers. 

Beginning in 1998/99 our school has centred on IT for all classes and from 2004/05 on we have been operating classes with emphasis on sports (swimming, basketball and other ball games).

Starting 2010/11 students have the possibility of attending classes with a main focus on the English language. Certain topics from a wide variety of subjects are taught in English as well as in German.

This gives interested and gifted pupils extra practice in a foreign language.

Training for ECDL (European Computer Licence) as well as for KET (the first step of the Cambridge international examination series) is possible for gifted students.

Starting 2010/11 a choice of Spanish and French language courses are offered for those with an inclination for foreign languages.

Creative, scientific or technical project courses are also on offer for interested and gifted students.

Our dedicated teachers endeavour to supply our pupils with the necessary knowledge and qualifications they need for their future and further education.

Teamworkas well as training in peer mediation is also part of our programme.
